Using PixelChat on a development store
What to expect when you test PixelChat on a password-protected store.

Development stores and stores that haven't launched yet have a storefront password. PixelChat works on them, with a few differences.
- You'll need to be past the password page to see the chat. Enter the store password first.
- Search, answers, add to cart and order lookup all work.
- One extra check can't run. When a product doesn't appear in search, the assistant normally double-checks whether it exists but is sold out. The password page blocks that check, so on a password-protected store the assistant answers from its search results alone.
- Development stores can't remove the password. Shopify doesn't allow it. Your live store won't have this limitation.
